Those who know Anthony well describe him as compassionate, caring, and honest. These attributes have allowed him to succeed in teaching, law enforcement, pre-hospital emergency care, as well as acute mental health care, and he realizes how vital these characteristics are in any field. “All of these work experiences have allowed me to understand how essential personalized and optimal care is for the community; I strive to treat both the client and the family unit with compassion and understanding of any and all customs, morals, beliefs, and ethical considerations.” Each part of his life has had a part in preparing him for his calling as a mental health professional. “My professional identity as a PMHNP has been cultivated from each milestone and experience in my personal life, to every patient interaction as a caregiver.” Striving for cultural competence and engaging with the community is what creates real change and honest progress in this field, and Anthony knows that serving those with mental health challenges is a blessing. He aspires to bring value to a holistic-focused healthcare practice by incorporating his own experiences with the philosophy to promote the greatest good for the greatest number of individuals.
Anthony and his lovely wife Destinee, who he credits with being the foundation of his life for the past ten years, currently reside with Emma and Hunter – their two feline fur babies.
